I have been waiting 3 years to experience Acadia National Park during peak fall foliage and oh man, it did not disappoint. Acadia National Park is located about 3 hours north of Portland, Maine near Bar Harbor. The park spans over a few different islands, some only accessible by ferry. The main part of the park where most people visit is on Mount Desert Island. It’s filled with endless hiking trails and beautiful scenic drives.
